Haze co-op mode revealed in new shots

Free Radical's first-person shooter unloads hefty new screenshot clip
Recent Haze happenings to do with weird viral marketing website action may well have had you scratching heads and posing the question, "Why?". Thankfully, today we've got something far less enigmatic in the shape of new screenshots from the first-person shooter.

In development at Free Radical - the chaps that brought us the TimeSplitters games - Haze is a shooter set in a near-future where the government has outsourced military operations to private multinational corporations. You take on the role of Jake Carpenter, a soldier who works for the Mantel Corporation, which means he has access to high-tech vehicles, kick-ass weapons and performance enhancing bio-medical support.

Events in the game kick off when Carpenter gets sent to South America to help fight a rebel faction...

It was revealed yesterday evening at the launch of Ubisoft's UbiDay over in Paris that Haze will feature a four-player co-op mode, which you can see in action in some of these screenshots.

Plus, it looks like the game may be exclusive to PS3 on console as there's no mention of an Xbox 360 version in a product sheet that's accompanied the new screens. Haze was originally announced for PS3, PC and Xbox 360.

Update: Free Radical has since confirmed to CVG that the shooter will launch on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. You can read more here. Update out
