A number of official updates have been released to fix bugs in the 1.0 release of FLK. These are the 1.01 and 1.02 files which are immediate updates before 1.1 is released.

We hope these updates are bug free, however if you find any bugs in these or any other parts of the FLK mod package, please add them to our bug tracker and we will endeavour to get them fixed and released ASAP.

We have installed a bug tracker into our website for FLK 1.0 release. Please could you report any bugs found in the release into this software, and you will be notified when the bug is fixed. This will be our main source of bug reports.

Operation Flashpoint.

Its been 5 years in the making and we hope its been worth the wait.

We at 1982: Flashpoint in the Falklands have some news to bring to you - mainly good news, but as always with the uncertainty of the video games market, there is some not so good news (Not bad news though!)

The good news is that we have most of the addons we set out to complete 99% completed, with minor additions such as custom icons and code tweaks needed to bring them up to a releasable standard.

As you can see from the above screenshots of the latest addons, they are looking great and are very close to completion.

The other news regards parts of the modification which were made many years ago when we started the ball rolling on this huge project. These areas look a bit dated when compared to the newer, 2007 models which we are producing at the moment. Such examples include:

Now the big question looming above us is, do we delay the release of the mod and bring these areas more in line with the rest of the addons, or release it and re-visit it in the future? A problem we have always faced is a waning motivation from within the team to get this project finished. It's been a huge comittment over the past few years, and for those of us who are still here it still is! Answers on a postcard would be nice!!!

Quality of addons is variable over the mod as each addon has been worked on by a different person, meaning that each individual addons has acquired it's author's style.

We are working on trying to get a playable campaign for the mod to be released with but time is a major constraint. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! If you would be interested in mission work, please post on the forum or send a PM via the forum to myself.

We have made a decision as to when we intend releasing our project to the world.

It should be within Q1 2007.

The Falklands Team and CBF Projects are proud to bring you a small Christmas present..


This contains seven pbo's


The first four are ships that served with the Falklands Task Force, 3 STUFT's (all from the same intial 1970's design) and an RFA.
The fifth is the famous corvette from the Argentinian South Georgia attack.
The last two are a dock section, and a small mini port using this dock section to allow for loading and unloading of two of the ships.
These latter two are NOT Falklands Work but my own, and have been done to add even more usablity to these ships.

There is also a simple mission using the basic map I knocked up showing how to use the ships with the new dock section

The map requires AG'S_Port 2.0 which is included as a rar

Place these addons in a suitable addons folder, either the main one, the Resistance one or a mod one.
Please place the mission in your missions folder under your user name

The first four ships themselves can be found in the Groups Menu under Falklands - Mod
They are STATICS and will not move, this is to allow users to move around on them, although you will find that some areas are effectively off limits.

Th fifth ship however is a mobile ship and can be found in the main troops menu under Falklands - Naval

The ferries have accessable car decks, along with working stern ramps.
The RFA Fort Austin has the ability to refuel, re-arm and even repair at its pads.
All have Special visual affects when sections are damaged
All have scaled icons to allow for placement near docks etc.
ARA Guerrico is armed with a 100mm gun that has both Ground and Air usage..

To place items on the multipart ships use:

this setpos [getpos this select 0, getpos this select 1, abc]

Where abc is the height, the height varies according to the number of roadway's immediately below so even 1 section of a ship can have many different values, also depends which deck you want to be on
If you use the group placement these ships will not be targetable and cannot be named, however items placed on them can still be targeted.

These have been extensively tested but if you do find a fault or two please let us know, but do not ask for more features as time spent adding to these will take time away from the rest of this project.

The Falklands team are STILL working hard towards a release in 2007.

Fault identified in stern sections fixed at 2320gmt 23rd December.
If you have this already then please replace the ships found in this file.


Otherwise the main file has been updated..

We've been approached by 505 Gamers, the publishers of the UK release of ArmA, to help them out with the pack design of the UK disc set.

We have been given 2 different designs to choose from, and would like to see what the rest of the community feel is the best one.

In addition to which pack design you like the best, 505 Games are interested in what you would like to see in the special edition release of ArmA.

Please note that there is a deadline on the voting and we will be sending the publisher the results within the next few days.

New Civilian units - Posted on June 18th, 2006 pm 1:19 PM

NZ-Psychokiwi has recently unveiled a couple of new civilian units which are incorporated into the mod. Shown below are the BAS (British Antarctic Survey) operators who served on South Georgia and also on HMS Endurance during the conflict. Also pictured is a BETA of the civilian Landrover Series 2, converted from our military version. Please note that this is not entirely completed.

A small update on what we've been up to recently. CBFASI has been at it again with the Kayaks. A Big thanks to CSJ for letting us use his animations. They have made the kayaks a lot more than just a bit of eye candy!

Also an update on the Argentinean 5T Truck, also retextured and modified by CBFASI. The model uses the basic BIS truck as a base, however the model is modified slightly.
