EFC Supports Better Aid Bill in Senate
The Evangelical Fellowship of Canada’s (EFC) Ottawa staff attended the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade’s committee readings this week on Bill C-293. The bill aims to create an accountability structure around Canada’s overseas development assistance. If passed, it will ensure that all aid goes directly towards poverty reduction. Weblogs: How Many Parents? Euthanasia
Two new weblogs from EFC staff are available. The first, by the EFC's Don Hutchinson, reflects on the "three parents case" and the "non-parent case," both of which may be heard by the Supreme Court of Canada. The second, by the EFC's Douglas Cryer, offers helpful information about euthanasia and encourages the Church to be visibly in the forefront caring for the vulnerable.
