The Future of Reference Services Papers
The five papers linked to from this page were presented at the 2002 ALA Annual Conference in Atlanta in the RUSA program entitled "The Future of Reference Services." Program description: Reference service continues to evolve with the increased use of new communication technologies the uninterrupted growth of the Internet the dramatic increase in availability of remote and full text databases and the formation of non-library "help" services. Join reference practitioners and thinkers as they share and discuss their ideas on the future of reference services and what that future might mean to all reference staff and managers.
