If you have any concerns about coming to court or the court experience please speak to a member of the court staff.
Court staff can advise you on court procedures, give you the forms you need and help you fill them in. They cannot however give you legal advice. You may be able to get free legal advice from a law centre, a Citizens Advice Bureau or consumer advice centre or alternatively you can contact the Community Legal Service on 0845 345 4 345 or www.clsdirect.org.uk.
If you want to settle your dispute without going to court contact the National Mediation helpline on 0845 60 30 809.
What additional help is available for court users with a disability?
If you have a disability which makes going to court or communicating difficult, please contact a member of staff at the court. You can also contact the Disability Helpline on 0800 358 3506 between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday which is operated by staff working in the Customer Service Unit of Her Mejesty's Courts Service.
