Detailed Inventory of 13 Microfilms of Belarus Records at the Family History Center

by Vitaly Charny

In preparation for starting the extraction and translation of records from 13 FHL microfilms that were converted to digital images, Vitaly Charny carefully reviewed each image on the 13 CDs and recreated a detailed inventory of what was on each film that were thought to contain Jewish records.. As you will see from the inventory, two films contained no Jewish records, others contained all Jewish records, and still others were a mixture.

The Belarus SIG wishes to thank the following volunteers for helping to transliterate these documents:

project coordinator: Irene Kudish

frames 612-652

The REVISION LIST for different agricultural community in Minsk Gubernyia.  The frame# and record # are combined together. There is no Hebrew dates or comments.
All family members are grouped together under the same frame/record #.

I couldn't keep 0 in record #, it disappears from the screen. I also was unable to keep "-" for missing data, it shows as "D137" or something like that. So the empty spaces mean - no information.

Mostly all names are properly written except some rare bad writing, these letters replaces by "." and "?". There are 676 names.

The dates of birth are in Christian calendar and Hebrew calendar.  There are many pages with the following text "There are no birth in a month of…". For all these years, for the place Kamen those newborns were the only ones in this town. There are no missing pages in the registration book.  "M" is for masculine birth and "F" is for feminine birth. A number after these letters indicates the record on the original page.
