AnimeVillage.com Returns With Digital Content Distribution
March 31, 2006 (Cypress, Ca) Bandai Entertainment Inc. announced today the return of its online channel, Animevillage.com. The website’s return coincides with the launch of Bandai Entertainment and Studio Bones new series, Eureka SeveN, which will be offered for a week of free streaming on Animevillage.com following its premiere on April 15th, 2006.
To be able offer free streaming for one week is a tremendous value to our fans and customers and it is part of our plan to introduce legal digital distribution, which is very important to our business, said Ken Iyadomi, President of Bandai Entertainment.
In addition, for one week, a purchasable download version of the same episode will be offered for at the same time. After each Eureka Seven episode is broadcast, the same pattern will repeat on Animevillage.com: one week of free streaming with a purchasable download version offered at the same time.
At the same time, Animevillage.com will offer an E-commerce store that will sell all of Bandai Entertainment’s catalog of DVDs at a discounted prices for e-commerce consumers.
Animevillage.com will be the complete online experience for our fans and customers, you’ll be able to watch episodes through streaming and download and purchase merchandise from our series, said Iyadomi.
The Animevillage.com Eureka SeveN free streaming will commence with episode 1 on April 16 at a time slot of 25:00.
