The Microsoft "Security Update" for the Sasser worm has caused the
naming convention of vim VIEW FILES to change.
(Yeah, it is very annoying.  Any good explanations?)

The most obvious shock will be the absence of manually set FOLDS.

Tip:  goto C:\Program Files\Vim\vimfiles\view
and replace the "~" at the start of view file names with
"C=-=+Documents and Settings=+USERNAME"
where USERNAME is set to your username.

For example, for Mr. Molar:

                                 "~=+My Documents=+project.txt=1.vim"
          was renamed to

"C=-=+Documents and Settings=+molar=+My Documents=+project.txt=1.vim"

The naming convention of view files
changed just after the installation of the
following on a PC running XP.
Check your timestamps carefully.

     Sasser worm (W32.Sasser.A and its variants) is currently circulating on the
     Internet. Microsoft has verified that the worm exploits the Local Security
     Authority Subsystem Service (LSASS).   Be sure to use a FIREWALL to protect
     port 445.

__ Given the equivalence of the following three items:

C:\Documents and Settings\USER

__ where else is vim likely to get into irregular unexpected behaviour
due to Microsoft's sloppiness?
