Caroline Ellis

Caroline EllisCaroline Ellis is Head of Parliamentary Affairs at the Disability Rights Commission (DRC) where she has been closely involved in lobbying on the Equality Act and the Disability Discrimination Act 2005, and in delivering legislative change across a wide range of areas. She is currently supporting Lord Ashley in taking his Disabled Persons (Independent Living) Bill through Parliament.

Prior to joining DRC she worked in public affairs roles at Royal National Institute for the Blind, Sense and Charter 88. She is also a member of Ofcom’s Advisory Committee on Older and Disabled Persons in a personal capacity and a trustee of Disability Hackney.
