Streets & Sidewalks

The City maintains more than 900 kilometres of paved streets, a distance farther than that between Regina and Calgary. It also builds and maintains 1,205 kilometres of sidewalks, about the distance between Regina and Vancouver.

Maintaining Regina's road and sidewalks is a major task. Regina sits on heavy clay soil. Freezing and thawing of the moisture in this soil causes damage to roads and sidewalks. City crews work diligently to keep Regina streets in good condition.

Under the Graffiti Management Program , the City of Regina is committed to remove graffiti from its high-profile buildings and assets within 72 hours of being reported , and within 24 hours if the graffiti is of a hateful, racist, or obscene nature.
