Area of Operations (AO): Dutch East Indies (Indonesia)

To monitor ceasefires and ensure the peace between Dutch and Indonesian nationalists, during the Indonesian Republic/Dutch East Indies war of 1947.

Veteran Entitlement Act (VEA): Schedule 3 – Peacekeeping Forces (Committee of Good Offices 25 August 1947), and UNCI 28 Jan 1949.

Awards: The Australian Service Medal (ASM) (1945-1975, Clasp “INDONESIA”). The United Nations Special Service Medal with Clasp “UNCI or UNGOC”

Repatriated: SQNLDR D.T. Spence, DFC – Illness (Later KIA in Korea).
