With the help of positive mentors and financial contributors, the Minnesota Daily Alumni Association and Minnesota Daily have been able to ensure future Daily student-employees the unparalleled training of so many before them.

Each year, The Minnesota Daily Alumni Board conducts several fund-raising initiatives to enhance the training experiences of students and Daily operations. The Alumni Board, along with the Daily Communication & Development department, hosts an annual spring Alumni and Staff Awards Banquet. The spring banquet has never recovered its expenses through attendee ticket proceeds, yet it is greatly valued in order to recognize exceptional contributors.

Remember, the classifications of The Minnesota Daily and the Minnesota Daily Alumni Association as nonprofit organizations allow for tax deductibility on all financial gifts to the Daily. The missions of both entities have at their core the training of young journalists and business people.
