Caving banks revetted; sloughs and minor channels closed and low flow concentrated using low structures; bars opposite caving banks to be held in place by pile dikes

1927 70-560 Extended channelization of the river up to Sioux City Same as above
1945 79-14 Provided for a 9-foot deep and not less than 300 foot wide channel Revetment of banks, construction of permeable dikes, cutoffs, closing minor channels, removal of snags and dredging
