Here is all the information you need to "Take the Black" and become a member of the Night's Watch, FFG's network of A Game of Thrones volunteers.

Requirements

• Night's Watch tourneys are based out of retail stores, so you must have permission to play at a store. You may run events at any store; however, each Night's Watch member is considered to be based out of one store and that is the store to which all support material will be sent.
• As a member of the Night's Watch you must, somehow, have access to the internet so you can receive updates and information. Since you're here now, that probably shouldn't be a problem.
• You must report the results of any tourneys in a timely manner.
• Supported tourneys must be scheduled two weeks in advance to guarantee that your support arrives.

Benefits
In addition to getting to play tons of A Game of Thrones, members of the Night's Watch also receive:

• One copy of all special prize support issued for a tourney, including promo cards, exclusive prints, Gold Dragon certificates, etc.
• Occasional access to special promo materials (posters, playmats, Night's Watch t-shirts, etc.).
• The honor of defending the realms of men against the threat of the north.

Restrictions

• Night's Watch members may not sell prize support, either on eBay or through other methods.
• Night's Watch members may not sell promo cards, or Gold Dragon certificates, regardless of how they were obtained. Any Night's Watch members found selling promo cards or Gold Dragon certificates will be immediately removed and banned from the Night's Watch.
• Night's Watch members are also not allowed to receive any player Gold Dragon certificates from tourneys they are running. While situations may arise in which the Night's Watch can play in their own tourneys, if a NW wins first place, he does not get a prize for it (other than the normal Night's Watch reward).

FFG Support & Other Details
Fantasy Flight supports the Night's Watch through online rankings, prize support, and special tourney events. As a member of the Night's Watch you may run as many as two tourneys per week, or as few as one every few months.

FFG will send you support for up to one tourney a month (in addition to special tourneys explained below). To get FFG support, you need only click the checkbox when you schedule your tourney. FFG will then send you a support package. Note that you must schedule your event at least two weeks in advance to guarantee support, and your support will always be sent to the store you filled in on your Night's Watch application. Each store may only receive one supported tourney per month - so if a store has multiple members of the Night's Watch, they may not receive additional supported tourneys.

Promo Tourneys
Occasionally FFG will host special Promo Tourneys, in which all attendees receive a promo card for participating. When scheduling one of these tourneys, always include in the comments section that it is a Promo Tourney and that you will need the promo card!

International
We welcome international Night's Watch members! Night's Watch members may be located anywhere in the world and have full access to the tourney software and ranking. FFG will pay the postage to send the support packages anywhere in the world.

How to Take the Black
Once you're ready to start running tourneys of your own at your local store, all you need to do is sign up! First make sure you're a registered player: to register as a player just click the "Player Registration" link and fill out the form. You'll be automatically added to the player list. Then after you sign in, look for the "Take the Black" link under the Night's Watch header to the left of the page. Click there and fill out the form.

After you Take the Black
Once we receive your information, it will be automatically entered into our database and reviewed by the Lord Commander of the Night's Watch. We may call your store to verify that you have permission to run events. You will receive an email notifying you of your Night's Watch status within two weeks of taking the black.
