1942.01 new 2nd Battalion raised
1948 reconstituted in T.F.
1964.04.01 amalgamated with The Wellington (City of Wellington's Own) Regiment, to form 7th Battalion (Wellington (City of Wellington's Own) and Hawke's Bay), Royal New Zealand Infantry Regiment
