SUBMISSION OF HIGH SCORES
As you know, in the high scores table of The General 4.3
there were a few dishonest results. That is why we had to release
version 4.4 and make the procedure for accepting new high
scores more secure. For the majority of players this has no
consequences, you just submit the required information and that
is all.
However, if you are a candidate for getting into one of the top
lines in the table (that is, your result is just under or over
120,000 points), be ready to validate your result with the
screenshots of development graphs which are shown to the player
at the end of the game. This is why we ask you to observe the
following: if you have obtained a super-high result in "The
General", make the screenshots so that we know for sure that your
score is true. We are more than happy to accept new high scores,
the only thing we want is that the competition is fair!
HOW CAN I GET INTO THE LIST?
Attention! We only
accept high scores from versions 4.4 and 4.5. Should you have an earlier
version of the program, please download the new one
from here.
In order to get into the best player list, you need to send
certain information on your game to
genscore@mail.ru:
1. Your name (or nick)
2. Your score
3. Total number of states
4. Number of states you destroyed
5. Year of victory
6. Sum total of scientific levels
7. Your save count
8. Code of server access
9. E-mail (optional)
HOW DO I MAKE SCREENSHOTS OF DEVELOPMENT GRAPHS?

Step 2. Start Paint or any other graphics editor supporting Windows clipboard.
Step 3. In the window "State development graphs", choose the first graph, "Population density".
Step 4. Press Alt + Print Screen on your keyboard.
Step 5. Go to Paint, insert the picture from clipboard choosing the menu command Edit/Paste.
Step 6. Save the picture as file 1.bmp (Menu command File/Save as).
Step 7. Return to "The General", repeat steps 4 to 7, saving the consecutive graphs in files 2.bmp to 12.bmp.
Step 8. When all the 12 graphs are saved, compress them with RAR or ZIP and send to genscore@mail.ru.
Note 1. The archive must contain all the 12 graphs.
Note 2. Please don't save the screenshots as GIF, JPG etc.
Good luck in your struggle with Windows!
