2 million photos in Panoramio
June 27th, 2007 by Eduardo Manchón
Only three months ago we announced that Panoramio had reached one million photos. Today I am very happy to write that the number of photos has doubled and reached 2 million. As usual the quality of the photos uploaded by the community is outstanding. Thanks for sharing, ¡mil gracias!

i’ve noticed that the latest version of Panoramio layer has been uploaded to Google Earth database. how old is this layer (i.e. from which date)?
additionally Panoramio layer has been combined with Wikipedia and others in the solid Geographic web layer. so now you can’t turn the Panoramio one off (to use kml from your site) and watch the latest updates wikipedia stuff
well my last photo is number 2982243 so I guess that with only few days you should have been able to say 3 millions no?
bye
