GLEN ABBEY MEMORIAL PARK CD

The Society has completed and released a CD containing a complete inventory of interments and inurnments at Glen Abbey Memorial Park in Bonita, California. This is the culmination of a ten year project involving thousands of hours of meticulous documentation of burial records at the park through December 31, 1999. The CD includes 1,562 pages containing 35,026 names. The complete work is arranged in alphabetical order by SURNAME and is searchable and printable.

The CD is now available to the public for a nominal fee of $19.95US + S&H;, ($4.95US for continental US deliveries.) California sales tax is applicable for deliveries in California. If you are interested in obtaining a copy of this extraordinary work on CD please contact our Cemetery Project chairman, Sue Zimmer, at alandsuezimmer@cox.net or mail your request with check or money order made out to CVGS, P.O. Box 3024, Chula Vista, CA 91909-3024.

AHNENTAFELS

A new database of Society members and past member pedigree charts (Ahnentafels) has been added to our web site. Those listed in these pedigree charts do not include living persons and the owner is identified only by a number to preserve identity.

These are five or more generation pedigree charts and are searchable through an alphabetized SURNAME INDEX (click here).

There will be a contact address for those interested.

GROUPS

The Computer Group is a combination of discussion and hands on experience to assist people in internet research and answer questions on problems they may be having with their computers. The group meets on the third Wednesday of each month in the computer lab or conference room at the Chula Vista central library.
The Research Group tries to help members solve their research problems through discussion and the collective knowledge of the group. The Research Group meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month in the conference room at the Chula Vista central library.

FOR SALE

The new 2005 index for the Family Research area of the Chula Vista Library is now available at a cost of $4.50 per copy.

It is so much easier to make a list at home and go directly to the research that you have listed then to waste time trying to find the books you need when you are on site.
