MARDI GRAS
February or March

You can't find a community in Louisiana that doesn't celebrate "Mardi Gras" in some form or fashion.  And, Opelousas celebrates "Fat Tuesday" in style with its annual parade sponsored by the Half Past Krewe of Frank's.

SPICE & MUSIC FESTIVAL
First weekend in June

The newest festival to hit the area is the Opelousas Spice and Music Festival.  Held at the South City Park in Opelousas, festival activities include some of the best music from this area, great food, arts and crafts, and a "Whole Lot of Fun!"  There's no place hotter ... than the Spice and Music Festival!  For more information, visit the website at www.opelousasspiceandmusicfestival.com
