Two new air carriers set to take off
Web Posted - Mon Jul 02 2007
A new and exciting era of co-operation in air travel comes into force when two Barbadian companies officially launch their services on Friday, July 13, 2007, giving business travellers and pleasure seekers yet another choice in air travel.

Operating from the South Ramp of the Grantley Adams International Airport, one of the regions largest aviation hubs, Executive Air, the Caribbeans newest charter airline and Horizon Helicopters, an upscale executive transport, charter and tour company will compliment each others service in a seamless operation. These air carriers were formed out of the recognition of the principals that whether travelling on business or pleasure, time is of the utmost importance to the traveller.

Captain Paul Archer, Horizon Helicopters Managing Director and Director of Operations said: As the traffic on our highways becomes increasingly congested, many regular visitors to the island are discovering that Horizon Helicopters offers the fastest, safest and most comfortable means of transportation between the Grantley Adams International Airport and their hotel or holiday villa. For his part, Captain John Ackie, Managing Director of Executive Air, noted that his company was conceptualised and developed to cater to the specific needs of a discerning travelling public, who wants to maximise the use of time in this fast-paced era.

According to Capt. Ackie, Executive Air was designed to take the hassle out of travel planning. In fact, customers will find that they need only to make initial contact with Executive Air either by telephone, fax or email and our team of dedicated and professional staff will take care of the planning in an efficient and timely manner, he said. Just into its first few weeks of operation, Horizon Helicopters has already been getting rave reviews for its Executive Air Transport service. Debbie Evans, a visitor from Britain wrote:

Thank you so much for giving us the privilege of being able to see Barbados from the air while getting to our destination quickly. I am sure that you know, from our reaction on that day, it was a most amazing experience and a wonderful surprise. I can only reiterate how impressed we were with the service. In addition, couples have thoroughly enjoyed having their own private helicopter tour around Barbados without having to jostle next to other passengers while taking pictures.
