Welcome to seele online, the web site for the undergrad literary magazine at UC Davis. An annual publication, seele draws from the undergraduate population of UC Davis for poetry and prose. With the hard work of its members and contributors, the UCD English department's support, and the assistance of SPAC as well many others, seele has existed on the Davis campus since 1997.
The seele staff encourages all Davis undergraduates to submit their work — no matter what major one pursues. Our goal is to capture the spirit and the soul — die Seele — of the undergraduate population at UC Davis.
Interested in submitting to seele? The submissions requirement page outlines the different requirements that all submissions MUST follow. One main point to remember: all submissions must have a cover sheet attached to have their work processed correctly.
Join the seele staff! For detailed information about staff members' requirements and duties, please refer to our staff information page.
Many people have questions about seele. (For starters, "how do you pronounce 'seele'?") The answers to the most frequently asked questions have been compiled on one page, which fields everything from the pronunciation of the mag's name to commonly asked questions about submissions and joining the staff.
As the magazine matures, changes occur in some of seele's procedures. Check the updates page to see the changes for the 2005-2006 year.
