Publication Standards: Logo, Seal and Aggie Athletic Marks

The colors for the University of California campuses are blue and gold. At UC Davis the official colors are Pantone (PMS) 295 dark blue and Pantone 132 gold (for printing on uncoated paper, use PMS 117 gold). See the Official Campus Web Colors page for Web equivalents of these colors.

UC Davis seal

The UC Davis seal is used for official campus publications that represent UC Davis as a whole, as opposed to individual academic or administrative units. It should be reserved for only the most formal uses or when it is important that the piece be clearly identified with the University of California system. The use of the UC Davis logo (see above) is preferred for most purposes. Other uses of the campus seal must be approved by the director of Publications.

UC Davis athletic logos: Primary mark

The primary mark is the most complete athletics mark. It should not be modified in any way. If you need a copy of the primary mark for print or Web, please contact , Intercollegiate Athletics, 530-754-7159.

  • GIF: A pixel-based format using no more than 256 colors used primarily for Web graphics with areas of flat color
