Three Tie for 1st at the June 23rd Quad

Joseph Brightman (Ocala), Greg Limmel (Orlando), and Robert Hagenmaier (Winter Haven) finish at 2-1 to share the winners purse. Dave Vanderpool (Lake Mary) was playing in his first OTB event after getting started on ICC.

Next event is the July 14th Tornado at Melody Manor as a  "warm up" for the 15th annual Southern Open at the Hilton in Altamonte Springs two weeks later on the July 27-29 weekend.

Greg Limmel and Cayley Robinson tie for 1st in the Under 1800 Section

May 2007 Quads in Three Sections

Though one only has to play three games in Quads instead of the four in Tornados, Quads requires a player no easy games. This was apparent in the lower two sections of the May 2007 Quads, as the winners only scored 2-1. In the top section Jeremy Mandelkern rated (2055) and over 100 points higher than his opponents won 3-0.
