FEMME FATALES MAGAZINE - Nov 2004 Issue;  Volume 13, Nomber 8 (interview/ photos)

That straw-filled monster is on the rampage again in York Entertainment's Scarecrow Gone Wild, and along for the ride is Tara Platt, who plays Lynn, a high-school girl who has a watery meeting with the scarecrow.  "Lynn is great and a bit of a tomboy," describes Platt. "She's one of those girls who wants fun all the time. She's definitely the sport of the girls. If they were the Spice Girs she'd be Sporty Spice." When the soul of a young man harrased by a trio of high school jocks is transferred into a scarecrow, the demonic creature seeks revenge and the bodies start piling up. After a sunbathing session, Lynn goes for a dip in the ocean and doesn't come back. "I have an ever-so-glorious death," Platt says. "I was hoping for a bloodier one, but I'm the one who takes it in the ocean. You think he'd float away or something with all that straw. Filming was very difficult because we were shooting in the ocean and it was really cold. We were in the water for 45 minutes or so and I'm in a little bikini -- because that's what girls wear on the beach. It was cold, cold, cold, and toward the end I was getting a little hypothermic and the lifeguard had to help me get out of the water and heat me up in the trailer with a little hair dryer. It was very cute and they all took care of me."
