The Baylor Athletics Media Relations office received five citations for publications excellence during the 2006-07 academic year from the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Softball Staff Named NFCA Regional Staff of the Year

For the first time in school history, the Baylor coaching staff was recognized as a regional coaching staff of the year as the National Fastpitch Coaches Association named the Lady Bears staff 2007 NFCA Division I Midwest Region Coaching Staff of the Year the organization announced. More [+]

Baylor Ranked 11th in NCAA Women's Basketball Attendance

The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) recently announced the national attendance figures for the 2006-07 Division I women's basketball season. Baylor finished the year ranked 11th in the country in home attendance with and average of 6,295 fans a contest. In addition, Big 12 women's basketball broke its own NCAA record while leading the nation in attendance for the eighth consecutive year.

Allison, Player Score 4 Each in U.S. Win

The U.S. women turned in another strong performance with an 81-60 win over New Zealand in tournament pool play at the 2007 Women's William Jones Cup held Monday night at the Taipei Physical Education College Gymnasium. Baylor's Jhasmin Player and Rachel Allison turned in four points apiece to aid in victory. More [+]

Ashley Noah

Ashley Noah earned first team All-Big 12 Conference honors this past season as she helped lead the Bears to the Big 12 Conference Championship for the first time since 2001. Noah, who is entering her senior season, is just 62 saves shy of breaking the Baylor and Big 12 career record held by former Bear Dawn Greathouse of 395 saves for a career.

Curtis Jerrells picked up honorable mention All-Big 12 honors this past season as Baylor advanced to the quarterfinals of the Big 12 Championship. The sophomore guard led team in points (15.0 ppg), assists (3.8 apg) and minutes played (32.9 mpg).
