They arrived in Auckland,
on the St George 1842and the Mandarin in 1843. Quakers in England had
for the segregation of young Offenders, who were sent to Prison on the Island
of Wight, to be taught useful Trades. It was decided to give some
of the boys a break! They would be pardoned if they agreed to go to
to live and work as directed on arrival. Here is a List
