of Unity | National Planning Committee
Planning Committee has been working together since April 2000 to nurture
the development of INCITE. The National Planning Committee is made up
of women of color across the United States who are committed to organizing
around violence against women of color and have been doing so for many
years. Members of the National Planning Committee serve 3 year terms and
confirm the nomination of new Planning Committee members.
Coordinates the publication process of an anthology on Violence Against
Women of Color which will include speeches delivered at the Color of Violence
Conference 2000 in Santa Cruz and additional manuscripts.
Prepares and disseminates newsletters, educational materials, manages
website and communications with MEDIA.
Organizes bi-annual Color of Violence Conference
Develops and implements a diverse fundraising plan for INCITE.
Organizational Structure Committee
Designs, evaluates and maintains a functional national organizational
structure for INCITE.
Organizes Activist Institutes, supports and incites the local organizing
efforts of regional chapters of INCITE.
Planning Meeting Committee
Coordinates semi-annual intensive planning meetings.
