Saskatoon's Cemeteries
Presented by The Saskatoon Cemetery History Association

Welcome to the home pages of the Saskatoon Cemetery History Association. The Saskatoon Cemetery History Association was formed in 1996 to help preserve the history of the cemeteries in and around Saskatoon, and to try to provide information regarding Saskatoon's burial grounds.

Two cemeteries are administered by the corporation of the City of Saskatoon: Woodlawn Cemetery, the currently used cemetery, and the Nutana Pioneer Cemetery, the first cemetery of the city.

There are a number of other cemeteries in and around Saskatoon that have served the residents of the city for many years. Some, like the Smithville Cemetery, are as old as Saskatoon, while others, like Hillcrest Memorial Gardens and St. John's Columbarium, came about later to help meet the city's needs.
