The Bands at Texas A&M University include the nationally famous "Fightin' Texas Aggie Band", Wind Symphony, Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Jazz Bands, and Aggieland Dance Orchestra. The band program involves over 700 students each semester. The bands participate in a wide variety of performances including athletic events, formal concerts, informal concerts, parades, gatherings and ceremonies. Performance venues span 80,000+ seat stadiums, concert halls, national and state music conventions, European cathedrals and auditoriums, small recital spaces, Presidential Inaugural Parade Routes and others. Students from every department and major at A&M are welcome and involved in the A&M Bands. Membership in each of the bands requires prior band experience. Audition requirements range from quite low pressure to very competitive depending on the ensemble.
