Everest Refrigeração was founded 40 years ago becoming a pioneer and one of the most traditional companies that manufactures electric water fountains in Brazil. As time went by and the brand became stronger, the company diversified its line of products, having produced for many years a number of models of freezers. The company decided to venture into the manufacturing of ice machines(notedly the most complex and sophisticated equipment of light commercial refrigeration nowadays), therefore becoming the largest manufacturer of this product in Latin America. Everest Refrigaração is currently the market leader within Brazil.

In 1997, through the same means used in the ice machines, the company launched SOFT Water Purifier, which within 10 years, went on to be the best selling cold water purifier in the Brazilian market.
Considered by many specialists to be the reinvention of the pressure water fountain, SOFT Water Purifiers have a double filtration system, which is able to retain particles bigger than 5 micra and reduce chlorine, odor and taste. Its compressor refrigerating system has a low energy consumption level and high efficiency. The evaporator has an exclusive pressure system which keeps the water from being contaminated by the environment.

SOFT Water Purifiers are compact and appropriate for any area. Its design is modern and neutral, allowing its use in both residential and commercial facilities.

At the XV Pan American Games Rio 2007 athletes and participants may be at ease, because Everest is supplying the water purifiers and ice machines at the competitions. This means that all potable water in the Pan American Village is purified and refrigerated acording to high quality and security standards
