• Can we get married in church?

  You have the right to be married in a Church of England church if:
  
  • Neither of you is married already, or has been married to a partner still living. (Marriage after a divorce is possible in some cases, at the discretion of the Rector.)
  • One of you lives in the parish, or
  • One of you habitually attends the church and is on the church electoral roll.



• So how do we arrange our wedding?

  Get in touch with the Rector, the Reverend John Greed, at the Rectory next to the Mission Church, Vestry Close, Street. It is best to telephone first on 01458 442671.



• How far in advance should we book?

  The sooner the better! You will find that it is usually harder to arrange your reception on the date you want, than it is to book the church, so you would be wise to book the reception venue provisionally and then ring the Rector.



• How much will it cost?

  Less than £200, probably. The cost will depend on whether you want the organ, the choir, the bell-ringers. It costs a bit more if you want a video to be taken in church.
