Background about this manual

Created for students seeking certification as a braille transcriber, this manual provides instruction and exercises from an introduction to the braille system to preparation for submitting a certification transcription.

To successively use the files, the computer you use will need the Adobe Reader, version 5 or higher. If you are unsure of the version, open the Adobe Reader program and choose the Help item in the menu bar. From the options, select the "About... " item. The version will be identified.
