I don't understand why it is needed to enable in the kernel the "Crypt target support" and the various algorithms such as "AES cipher algorithims" and so on. My truecrypt setup works pretty good even without them. Can someone enlighten me? Thanks. fctk 08:41, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

I think Truecrypt has its own crypto modules. So, it does not need any from the kernel.

Anyone who successfully installed it without that kernel modules? I cannot test it at the moment --Gr3yFox 22:43, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
