Fox announces premiere dates; "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?" returns Aug. 30

You keep asking about "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?" I hope to have news about auditions soon. But I can share this: The quiz show starts its second season Aug. 30. It will be the first Fox show to return for the new season.

Fox unveiled its fall premiere dates Tuesday. Show I'll be happiest to see? "House," back Sept. 25.

Here are the other dates:

Sept. 8: "Cops" and "America's Most Wanted: America Fights Back."

Sept. 13: "Kitchen Nightmares," a new reality series with Gordon Ramsay.

Sept. 14: "Nashville," a "docu-soap" about country music hopefuls.

Sept. 17: "Prison Break" and "K-Ville," a new police drama set in New Orleans.

Sept. 19: "Back to You," the new comedy with Emmy winners Kelsey Grammer and Patricia Heaton. Also "'Til Death" and "Bones."

Sept. 23: "The Simpsons," "King of the Hill" and "Family Guy."

Sept. 25: "New Amsterdam," a thriller about an immortal detective, and "House."

Sept. 30: "American Dad."

We'll still have weeks to wait for the new stuff, but aren't you glad to have dates?
