Rosanna Parklands is a unique area within the city of Banyule. Situated along
the railway line between Rosanna and Macleod stations, the parklands form part
of the catchment area for Salt Creek. A vision of renowned landscape architect
Ellis Stones, the Park was created out of the former Rosanna Golf Course.
The Rosanna Parklands Protection Association (RoPPA) was formed in the late
1980’s to help preserve and protect the natural beauty of the parkland.
Over the years, members have participated in numerous tree planting and clean
up days. In excess of 5,000 trees and grasses have been planted in the park
by RoPPA members. RoPPA has encouraged local primary school children to become
more environmentally aware by sponsoring tree plantings and donating books
and prizes to these local schools.
To assist us with our endeavours we welcome new membership. Annual (July to
June) membership costs are:
Single membership is $10 pp
or
Family membership is $15 per family
