Ticket brokers and services have been around for more than a century. Most of today's brokers are reputible businesses who work within rigid ethical standards for their industry while promoting consumer protection.
According to the industry's trade group, ticket brokers serve three primary functions: provide tickets to events that are sold out through the primary market; provide premium upfront seats which are the most desirable; and provide ticket holders a place to sell their unwanted, unneeded or extra tickets.
Reputible brokers operate under the Code of Ethics of the National Association of Ticket Brokers, the industry's non-profit trade group. Read the code of ethics here.
