De La Salle is a large Catholic boys' school, established 87 years ago, catering for students from Years 7 to 12.
Facilities: The recently constructed library is at the centre of the college reflecting the central place of information skills across the curriculum. Part of the college's recent upgrade includes fully airconditioned music classrooms with adjoining soundproof practice rooms and a keyboard lab. Computer facilities are available in most classrooms as well as in six specialist computer labs. An integrated computer, video, telephone and security system has been installed throughout the college.

Sport: The college is part of the Metropolitan Catholics Colleges Association (MCC) Competition. Competition sports include athletics, basketball, cricket, cross-country, golf, rugby league and union, soccer, squash, swimming, tennis and volleyball. Recreational sportsinclude all of the above as well as gym training, ice-skating, indoor soccer, rock climbing, tenpin bowling, and T-ball.
Extracurricular activities: Art exhibitions, band, camps, chess club, choir, computer club, debating, drama productions, retreats, musical performances, public speaking, Shakespeare Festival, theatre club, work placement.
Welfare and personal development: The school aims to meet a broad range of needs and interests through a diverse curriculum and has established an extensive pastoral care system within a Catholic ethos. Students in need are assisted by a counsellor, a chaplain, and special education and ESL staff.
