About Shogo

Shogo is a game from Monolith with ports for the Mac, Linux, and Amiga by Hyperion Software. It is a first-person shooter with an anime (Japanese animation) twist. You get to play both on foot and as a 30 foot tall mecha (somewhat like the MechWarrior mechs, but much more agile). Shogo offers a compelling story-line along with all the explosions and multiplayer fun you could want from a shooter.

System Requirements:
Win32: Pentium 166 (233 without a 3D card), 32M RAM, DirectSound compatible sound card, 4x CD-ROM, Win95/98 with DirectX6, ~100M HD space for a regular install (~400M for a full install). A Direct 3D-compatible video card with at least 4M memory is highly recommended.

Linux: Pentium 200 MMX with 3D hardware, or a Pentium 2 233 for software-only (Pentium 2 plus 3D hardware recommended), 32 MB RAM (64 recommended), 90 MB of free disk space, Linux Kernel version 2.2.x or later (glibc 2.1), XFree 3.3 or later (XFree 4.0 recommended), OSS/Alsa compatible sound card (/dev/dsp style), SDL version 1.1 (library included with demo), FreeType Engine version 2 (included with demo), gtk 1.2.

Mac: MacOS 8.5 or later, 233Mhz or faster PowerPC G3 or G4, 96M RAM, OpenGL 1.1.2, 4MB VideoRAM, GameSprokets 1.7.3

Amiga: OS 3.0 or higher, PPC processor (supported through WarpOS), Graphics card, 3D acceleration supported through Warp3D V4, (required for 603, recommended for 604), Sound support via AHI or standard Paula sound, 6x CD-ROM recommended, 64 MB (more recommended)

Need some convincing? Download the multiplayer demo (~41M) now! for Win32, Linux, Mac, or Amiga. The demo includes four levels: one single player level each for mecha and on-foot, and one multiplayer level each for mecha and on-foot.
