Institute of Geography & Earth Sciences at The University of Wales, Aberystwyth.

Welcome to one of the oldest and largest Departments of Geography and Earth Science in Britain.  Aberystwyth was the first department to offer students single honours degrees in human geography and physical geography and has always been at the cutting edge of innovations in teaching and research.

At Aberystwyth there are opportunities for study in an environment that is hard to beat.  The Institute is situated in one of the most picturesque locations in Europe and is recognised as an international centre for excellence in teaching and research.

If you are a new student, these pages can show you who staff members are, and the teaching menu provides links to additional information about your course.
