Getting Started . . . with a roadmap
If you want a proven way to get started with YackPack, print this page and follow the steps below:
Step 1: Learn more about YackPack.
- YackCast at www.yackpack.com (wait about 5 seconds for page to load and then click "play").

Step 2: Register with YackPack & invite one buddy to join you.

Step 3: Get a microphone hooked up to your computer.
- buy a microphone at Wal-Mart, Radio Shack, or online.
- use our website at www.audiohelp.info to connect and test your microphone.
Step 4: Watch the video again about how to use YackPack.

Step 5: Send a message to yourself in YackPack.
Just "click, talk, and send" -- so simple.
Step 6: Send a message to your buddy and have fun with other aspects of YackPack . . .
- play music while you record your voice
- rearrange the icons inside the yackcircle
- type in a subject line
- click your blue 'i' button and type in information about yourself for others to see
- click on your buddy's 'i' button and see what that reveals.
Step 7: Upload your mugshot into the interface (if you haven't already done so).
- Hint: click your own 'i' button.
- Having a close-up of your face works best.
Congratulations! You have now learned the basics of YackPack.
You are ready to become a YackMaster. Here's how . . .
Step A: Invite more buddies into your pack.
The most successful packs usually have between 7 and 45 yackers. Packs smaller than 7 yackers tend to lack content (unless you've invited some heavy-duty yackers!).
Step B: Help your buddies get registered
- A phone call and some encouragement may be necessary.
Step C: Help your buddies get a microphone connected to their computer.
- Now you're the expert!
Step D: Upload a mugshot for each buddy.
- You can click on each buddy's 'i' buttons, or have them upload their own mugshots.
Step E: Send a bunch of yacks to your buddies and have fun!
