Twilight Camp

This years twilight camp was held at Sam Dale Lake recreation area from Thursday July 19 to Saturday July 21, 2007. The theme for this years camp was Cubs in the Caribbean. As in years past, our Scouts had the opportunity to participate in a number of Scout related activities.

The boys (and their siblings) enjoyed Archery, B-B shooting, Crafts, Scout Skills, Skits, and Games on both Thursday and Friday evenings and Saturday day. There was also a Fishing Derby on Saturday. Saturday evening the boys were able to enjoy an air powered water rocket demonstration and Saturday night was capped off with a number of Skits and run-ons performed by the Scouts and their Leaders.

Everyone enjoyed the closing campfire and the weather (with the exception of the first few hours on Thursday) was beautiful throughout. All-in-all, another wonderful experience for everyone who participated and a good time was had by all.

There were a lot of fish being caught on Saturday by our experienced Cub Scout Anglers, however, here were the 2 largest (fish, not Cubs) by far!

Popcorn sales

The Show and Sell went wonderfully. The Pack committed to selling $252.00 of Popcorn and we easily topped that. The total sales for the 2 days was $800. We also received $154 in donations. We had a very good turnout for the Show and sell with a total of 13 Scouts selling for at least 1 1/2 hours each (with at least 1 Scout representing each Den). Here's to a job well done!

Popcorn Blitz day will be Saturday September 22. We will meet at the St Mary Parish center from 9am till 10am.

All Popcorn sales materials will be handed out at this time. There will be training available for those Cub Scouts who have never sold Popcorn before and for those who wish to polish their selling skills.

There will be refreshments (donuts, milk, and coffee) available.

The blitz will begin at 10am sharp!

Here's to another successful Popcorn year!

  Pack Meetings

Please note the time change!
