Melbourne rapper 360 joins the Soulmate Records family

5 February, 2007: The rumours are true – Melbourne rap phenomenon 360 has been confirmed as the latest signing to Soulmate Records.

360, best known as one half of controversial hip-hop duo Forthwrite, will release his long-awaited debut solo album What You See Is What You Get through Soulmate in 2007.

Although renowned by hip-hop audiences for his hilarious put-downs and reckless attitude, the gifted 20-year-old emcee claims his debut long-player will reveal many as-yet-unseen sides to his personality.

“This album will show people that there is more than one side to 360 – I’m still that funny, cocky guy you’ve heard about, but I’ve also got thoughts, opinions and emotions to get off my chest through my music,” 360 said.

“I’m not just rapping over beats for the sake of it either; these are real songs that will mean something to all sorts of different audiences.

“As a label, Soulmate is young and hungry like me and I know that together, we can make a big impact on the music industry with this project.”

Joining 360 on What You See… are his Forthwrite partner Pez and such world-class producers as M-Phazes (Royce Da 5’9”, Bliss N Eso), Styalz Fuego (Chamillionaire, Kool G Rap), Canada’s Muneshine (Pete Rock, Beatnuts) and 2006 Australian Music Prize nominee Joelistics (TZU).

One of the biggest stars of Australia’s underground mixtape scene, 360 has recorded tracks alongside 2x ARIA Award nominees Weapon X & Ken Hell and local hip-hop legends Lyrical Commission, as well as providing live support to such luminaries as Atmosphere (USA), Brother Ali (USA) and DJ Peril (1200 Techniques).
