Karen's sketch show opens

A BARROW woman will be bringing her own brand of comedy to a nationwide TV audience tonight.

BAFTA award-winning comedian Karen Taylor will see her sketch show, Touch Me I’m Karen Taylor, broadcast on BBC Three.

The series, which starts at 10.30pm, promises a fresh and saucy look at modern life and is co-written by Miss Taylor.

Characters include Kaz and Jen, the Lipstick Lesbians, Miss Harper, the desperate, divorced schoolteacher who takes an overactive interest in her male students and Glamorama, which poses the question “what if current affairs programmes were presented by footballers’ wives?”

The 31-year-old is also set a challenge at the start of each show.

This week she tries her hand at cheerleading.

And for the home audience Miss Taylor promises lots of references to Barrow.
