Neuroblastomas are tumors of the sympathetic nervous system. Unfortunately, this group of tumors has not shown the same remarkable progress in cure rate that has been achieved in most other childhood malignancies and this is one of the reasons why neuroblastomas have been studied so extensively by pediatric oncologists worldwide.
