City Parks

Walking in the Park in the FallThe City of Hamilton boasts some 2662 acres of parkland at 310 locations, 1356 acres of natural areas at 32 locations, and 137 kilometres of trails, offering many opportunities for people of all ages to get outdoors and explore nature.

Our many recreational trails encourage hikers, cyclists, rollerbladers, and nature lovers to enjoy the natural landscapes of the escarpment and valleys. Bayfront, Pier 4 Park, and the Waterfront Trail offer panoramic views of the Hamilton Harbour and northwest shoreline.  Enjoy the spectacular views of the lower City and harbour at Sam Lawrence Park, or relive history while visiting historic parks and museums such as Fieldcote, Dundurn, or Battlefield Park.

Whether you are looking for an outdoor adventure or a quiet retreat, Hamilton Parks offer something for everyone to enjoy.
