If you've been following the never ending saga of Black Lab, then you know how long fans have anxiously awaited new music from this incredible band.  Everyone at Alternative Addiction is thrilled to finally bring you some brand new music from Black Lab.  The first single off the bands new EP, is the song "See The Sun", a song that has been floating around the internet in demo form for quite sometime.  The finished product shows impressive maturation, both lyrically and musically mixing melodic undertones with the unmistakable vocals of Black Lab mastermind Paul Durham.

Black Lab first appeared on the scene in 1997, claiming that the band's name came from mixing of the band names Black Sabbath, and Stereolab.  They released their Geffen Records debut Your Body Above Me which  spawned the singles "Wash It Away" and "Time Ago".   Despite the stong fan base and strong reception from Radio, thier debut would be the only full length album the band would put out.  The band decided to go seperate ways in 1999, until Durham reformed the band in a modified version due to some interest that Epic Records had expressed in them.  The band signed to Epic in 2000, after settling a lawsuit with former members of the band in regards to ownership of the band name.  The band was primed to release their second album on Epic last year, as they appeared on the Spiderman Soundtrack with the track "Learn To Crawl".  However, continued delays from the record label, and continued personnel changes frustrated the band to the point where they asked to be released from the label.

As their search for a new label continues, Black Lab has decided that the fans shouldn't have to wait any longer to hear some of the band's new material and have released a 6 song EP, for sale exclusively on the bands website at www.blacklabnet.com.  The track listing for the EP is listed below:

1. See The Sun
2. Remember
3. Perfect Girl
4. Ecstasy
5. Learn To Crawl
6. Gone
