HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. -- The Huntington Beach City Council has made a slight change to a proposed ban on public nudity, KNBC news reported. The council was supposed to vote on the proposal Monday night. The proposal to enact the city's first-ever ban on nudity visible to the public was spurred by public outrage over Michael Ferreira, a nudist who regularly lounged naked in his home with the windows and doors open, the Orange County Register reported.
Ferreira has since moved, according to KNBC.Last night, the city council amended the proposed nudity ban to allow people to wear thong bikinis. The city council will reconsider the proposed ordinance later this month.
