Huskie Men's Soccer Represented well at Canada Games

SASKATOON SK - The University of Saskatchewan Huskie Men's Soccer team is excited to announce that five Canada Games players will be arriving to camp today, four from Saskatchewan and one from Manitoba.

All five players had significant roles on the two respective teams (Team Saskatchewan and Team Manitoba.

Huskies Head Coach Bryce Chapman had an opportunity to watch the games in Moose Jaw. " We have five players coming into our program that will excel both on the field and in the classroom," he commented.

"Canada Games has prepared them well and coming off the week of competition they will be ready to hit the field and compete
in the always tough Canada West conference," Chapman added.

The five players joining camp are:

Suad Ahmad - Central Defender
Saskatchewan Canada Games Team
Evan Hardy High School
From the Coach: Great Leader, quick and reads the game well.

Stevie Irinici - Midfield/Striker
Saskatchewan Canada Games Team
Marion Graham High School
From the Coach: Holds the ball well, great individual player when attacking and defending.

Steve Patterson - Fullback
Saskatchewan Canada Games
Regina Leboldus
From the Coach: Tenacious, great tackler.
Interesting tidbit: Twin brother David is also at Huskie camp.

David Patterson - Striker
Saskatchewan Canada Games Team
Regina Leboldus
From the Coach: Speed, great work ethic, good attacking abilities.
Interesting tidbit: Twin brother Steve is also at Huskie camp.

Phil Legacy - Midfield/Stiker
Manitoba Canada Games
