Other Sources of Reading Lists
Past Nebula Award® preliminary and final ballots make good reading lists -- not to mention the list of winners. SFWA Members' Fiction Online may not teach you much about the history of the field, but there's some good reading here. Alexandria Digital Literature website will give you personalized recommendations based on how you rate books you've read.
Infinity Plus: This sf & fantasy archive has over 180,000 words of fiction on the site, plus a growing nonfiction section. Great Science Fiction & Fantasy Works evaluates SF and Fantasy according to literary criteria not dependent on genre. Lists of must-have books for a basic SF library, overlooked gems, etc. In progress. Christian SF/Fantasy Recommended Reading is an extensive list of works in which a positive view of Christianity plays some role in the story.
