Colonization Activities in the West Bank

Jerusalem   

  • The Israeli authorities handed the Palestinian civil administration military orders to take over lands in villages to the northwest of Jerusalem city such as: Beit ‘Ur El Tahta, Kharbatha, Beit Liqya, At Tira, Beit Diqu, Qatanna, Al Qbayba, Beit Surik, Beit Ijza, Beit Iksa and Biddu to construct the Segregation Wall.   • The Israeli authorities handed Palestinians living Beit Iksa, Biddu and Beit Surik towns in the western part of Jerusalem city military orders to take over 2000 dunums of lands for military reasons for security reasons, whereby the IOF marked more than 340 dunums of land in the aforementioned towns to commence the construction of  " Jerusalem - Tel Aviv railway.   • The Israeli Supreme court issued an order to change the track of the Segregation Wall in Sur Bahir city in Jerusalem city according to the appeal handed to the court by Sur Bahir residents. Consequently, more than 134 dunums of agricultural land cultivated with Olive trees would have been destroyed if the old plan had been implemented. Quds (Jan 6, 2004)  
  • The Israeli authorities handed resident Zar’i Musa Za’atra from the town of Al ‘Eizariya military order to demolish his two-story house, conducted under the pretext of its location close to the Segregation Wall. Quds (Jan 7, 2004). For more information, click here  
  • The Israeli central court postponed the demolition order of Fahed Fathi Al Joulani house located in Al Sal’a area in Jabal Al Mukabbir south of Jerusalem city for a year. Quds (Jan 7, 2004)  
  • Jerusalem municipal court charged a resident from Jerusalem city a penalty of NIS 3962 for his demolished house which was demolished 5 months ago by the IOF; thus displacing 23 dwellers. Quds (Jan 10, 2004)
  • The IOF altered the two meter height of the Segregation Wall in the town of Abu Dis southeast of Jerusalem city to 8m height. As a result, thousands of Palestinian results holding Jerusalem identities were isolated from the city of Jerusalem. Quds (Jan 13, 2004)  
  •  Jerusalem center for Human Rights assured that the municipality of Jerusalem city intends to demolish a number of buildings in Beit Hanina, Shu’fat, Al ‘Isawiya and Jabal Al Mukabbir conducted under the pretext of being unlicensed. On the other hand, the IOF completed the construction of Ma’ale Haztim colony in Ras El ‘Amoud area and is willing to commence the construction of a new colony in Abu Dis lands known as Kadamat Zion colony. Meanwhile, the IOF intensified its colonial activities in 15 colonies located in the eastern part of Jerusalem city mainly in Pesgat Zeev, Neve Yaacov, Adam and Ma’ale Adumim colonies.   •  The ministry of defense issued military orders to confiscate 107 dunums of lands from Shu’fat camp and Al Salam outskirt in ‘Anata town to continue constructing the Segregation Wall. As a result 45,000 dwellers will be harassed due to this violent process. It is worth mentioning that the length of the Jerusalem envelope will reach to 76 kilometers and will include Ma’ale Adumim colony.  Quds (Jan 14, 2004). For more information, click here.  
  •  According to the appeal presented by the Jerusalem centre for Human Rights, the Israeli local court in Jerusalem city postponed the demolition order of Nayef Kastero house located in ‘Oqbet Al Saraya in the old city for a year and a half to issue a building license during that period. Moreover the court charged the resident a penalty of NIS 27000. Quds (Jan 15, 2004)
  • The Israeli central court postponed the demolition order of ‘Abed El Hamid ‘Ajaj in Jabal Al Mukabbir and Talab Abu Wahdan located to the south of Jerusalem city to  issue a building license during that period. Moreover the court charged the resident Abu Wahdan a penalty of NIS 7000. Quds (Jan 17, 2004)  
  • The Israeli Supreme Court issued an order to seal the two-storey house of ‘Abed Allah ‘Adnan Al Sharabati with cement. The house is located in Wad El Juz in Eastern Jerusalem. Quds (Jan 19, 2004)  
  • The IOF demolished the houses of Isma’il and Na’im Al Rishq in Tel El Ghoul in Beit Hanina, displacing 21 dwellers. The IOF also demolished the house of Muhammad Al Salaymeh in Wad Qadum area south of the old city of Jerusalem under the pretext of not having building permits. Wafa (Jan 20, 2004)  
  • The IOF demolished without pre-notification the house of Ihab Hassan ‘Abed Allah ‘Ali in Beit Hanina city. Quds (Jan 25, 2004) 
  • The IOF demolished four Cement walls surrounding lands owned by Al Ragabi and Abu Zahdiya in Al Ashqariya neighborhood in Beit Hanina city under the pretext of being unlicensed. Wafa (Jan 27, 2004)  
  • The IOF handed over warrants to several Palestinian families in Al Salam outskirt in ‘Anata village northeast of Jerusalem city, ordering them to evacuate the houses in 72 hours, preparing them for demolishing at favor of the Segregation Wall . Houses belong to: Muhammad and Hassan Yousef Khalaf Hamdan, Qasim Ahmad Hamdan, Riyad Qlawa’I, Hazim Al ‘Isawi, ‘Ali Al Shakhsher, Khalid Bishara, ’Abed  Gahalin, Ahmad Karshan, Gadou’ Karshan, Saleh Tarak, Amani Al Ja’bari and Hassan Al Baghdadi.   • New military orders to take over tens of dunums of agricultural lands from Beit Hanina, Al Ram cities in Wad ‘Ayar, Al Barid and the Coptic outskirts northeast of Jerusalem to construct part of the Segregation Wall. The new Segregation plan near Neve Yaacov colony will close the eastern and the southeastern parts of Al Ram and Hizma cities and lands of Jaba’ village. Wafa (Jan 28, 2004)  
  • The IOF invaded Shu’fat Camp and ‘Anata town and handed its residents demolition orders to more than 15 houses at favor of constructing part of the Segregation Wall. Quds (Jan 29, 2004)  

Qalqilyia   

  • In a report issued by the Ministry of Agriculture, more than 4074 dunums of agricultural lands were razed, 32000 dunums were isolated, 40880 trees were uprooted and another 179481 trees were isolated at favor of constructing the Segregation Wall in Qalqiliya district. The report also showed villages such as ‘Azzun ‘Attma, Ras At Tira, Magharit Adab’a and Wad Ar Rasha, Arab Abu Farda, Arab El Ramadin villages were already segregated behind the wall.   • The IOF prevented Palestinian farmers from accessing their lands which are cut-off behind the Segregation Wall borders. The IOF also denied the viability of permits given to landowners to gain access to their lands. It's worth mentioning that the Segregation Wall has so far swallowed more than 32000 dunums of agricultural land along with 19 artesian well in Qalqiliya district for the sake of the Segregation Wall. Bethlehem

  • The Israeli bulldozers razed tens of dunums of agricultural land in Wad Al Ghwat area west of Al Khadr town to the south of Bethlehem district and denied access of landowners to their lands under the pretext of "state land". Lands belong to: Muhammad Ahmad ‘Atwan, Lutfi ‘Atwan, Muhammad Mahmoud Al Haj ‘Atwan. Quds (Jan 4, 2004)  
  • The IOF closed the western and the eastern entrances of Al Walaja town west of Bethlehem district with cement and earthed blocks. Quds (Jan 12, 2004). For more information, click here  
  • Colonists of Beit ‘Ein colony uprooted 100 Grape trees cultivated in 7 dunums of land in Khirbet Zakariya south of Bethlehem city. Lands belong to Salah Shahin and Muhammad Musa Hussein. Quds (Jan 19, 2004)  
  • The IOF razed lands owned by residents of Bethlehem city and the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate to continue constructing the Segregation Wall in the area, and relocating of Gilo 300 checkpoint 220m to the south of the city. It is worth mentioning that thousands of dunums are threatened to be razed and a number of houses to be segregated as the IOF constructed a checkpoint around Emmanuel monastery.   • The Israeli chief commander Mosheh Keblenski issued a military order number 03/49/T to change the path of the Segregation Wall in Al Khas village east of Bethlehem district and the village of Sur Bahir southeast of Jerusalem which will devour more than 541 dunums of agricultural lands, of which 390 dunums in Bethlehem and 151 dunums in Jerusalem. Moreover, the new plan will include 40 Palestinian houses within the Wall border. Quds (Jan 28, 2004)  
  • The IOF staged into Bethlehem city and dynamited the two-storey house of Martyr ‘Ali Ja’ara in ‘Aida refugee camp turning it to a heap of rubble and displacing 12 dwellers. Quds+ Wafa (Jan 31, 2004).

Jenin

  • The IOF broke into the Benevolent Society in Jenin city, dynamited its door entrance and caused severe damages to the properties. This is the third time the IOF break into the society. Quds (Jan 16, 2004)  
  • The IOF handed resident Jawad Naji Harz Allah from Ya’bad town  west of Jenin district military order to uproot 260 Olive trees, conducted under the pretext of their location close to the nearby colony Mevo Dotan. Wafa (Jan 21, 2004)  
  • The IOF demolished the house of Radi Mustafa Abu El Rab from Al Jalbun village east of Jenin district without pre-notification under the pretext of its location close to the Segregation Wall. In addition, the IO Bulldozers also demolished a cement factory owned by Muhammad Nafe’ Shalabi. Quds (Jan 23, 2004)  
  • The Israeli bulldozers razed vast areas of lands cultivated with Olive trees and surround Kaddim colony to the east of Jenin city, either to expand its borders or to construct a Wall around it. Al Ayam+ Quds (Jan 23, 2004).

Tulkarm

  • Several caravans have been placed by the IOF to the west of Far’un village, near Tulkarm city in an attepmt to take over the land. The IOF also continued razing the 500 dunums of land between Irtah and At Tayba checkpoints which started three days ago. Lands are segregated between the Wall path. Wafa+ IPC (Jan 11, 2004)  
  • The IOF invaded Tulkarm refugee camp and took over three houses turning them into military barracks. The three Houses belong to: Abu Tamam, Mwafaq Al Dmari and Nader Awad. Wafa (Jan 12, 2004)  
  • The IOF razed and destroyed 22 houses in Ghanim Street in Tulkarm refugee camp after forcing all dwellers to evacuate them under the threat of weapons. Wafa (Jan 13, 2004)  
  • Three houses were burned in Tulkarm refugee camp due to the shelling the area received that day which caused severe damages to tens of door entrances. Houses belong to Nabel ‘Amir, Abu Muhammad Shtewi and ‘Abed Al Majed Ghanim. Wafa (Jan 13, 2004)  
  • The IOF dynamited two Palestinian houses in Tulkarm camp and blew them up using explosives. The houses belong to Martyr Tariq Abed Rabbo and Haythem Al Nuweis and are both constructed of two-storey buildings and house 20 family members. Wafa+ IPC (Jan 15, 2004)
  • Israeli surveyors marked lands in Wadi El Berak, Wadi Tah, Al Me’atma and Al ‘Amayer areas in Kfar Sur and El Ras villages south of Tulkarm district located behind the Segregation Wall; whereby the Israeli bulldozers continued razing lands of Jabal Wadi Sarhan area south of Fir’un village near Al Kafriyat checkpoint to the south of the district.   • The IOF demolished the house of Jawad Abu Al ‘Aqla from Fir’un village to the south of Tulkarm city under the pretext of its location close to the Segregation Wall. Quds (Jan 23, 2004)

Nablus   

  • The IOF dynamited two houses in Al Qaryoun area in the old city of Nablus. Quds (Jan 1, 2004)  
  • The house of Yamin Tayeb ‘Ali Faraj south of Nablus city is threatened to be demolished in a maximum period of 48 hours. Quds (Jan 1, 2004)  
  • The Israeli Government devoted one million NIS to erect a new road which leads to the indiscriminate Tabuh outpost near Nablus district. Quds (Jan 2, 2004)  
  • The IOF continued erecting a new road that will endlessly lead to Tappuah Ma’arev outpost in the West Bank in its plan to turn it into an Israeli neighborhood near "Ariel" colony in Nablus. Not forgetting to mention that Israel announced some time ago its intent to dismantle this outpost. Al Ayam (Jan 2, 2004)   
  • The IOF demolished the house of Jamal Al Kakhan and partially demolished the nearby historical castle owned by ‘Abed El Hadi family in Al Qaryoun area in the old city of Nablus. The IOF in their last invasion to Nablus city left more than 15 houses severely damaged and two others burnt. Quds (Jan 5, 2004)  
  • The Israeli Supreme Court postponed the demolition order of eight houses in Al ‘Aqaba village in the northern valleys of Tubas district. Ten houses in addition to a kindergarten and a Mosque are threatened to be demolished in the village. Quds ( Jan 16, 2004)  
  • The IOF uprooted more than 500 grapes, Figs and Olive trees cultivated in 15 dunums of lands southwest of  Deir Balut town which are owned by ‘Abed El Latef Sate’i ‘Ayash and Adel Mustafa. Wafa+ Quds (Jan 20, 2004)  
  • The IOF started dismantling Tafuh west outpost near Ariel colony after the dismantling order issued by the Israeli Supreme Court. Quds (Jan 21, 2004)  
  • The IOF dynamited the four-storey building in Al ‘Ein neighborhood in Nablus city after planting it with explosive devices, causing severe damages to the nearby houses. The Building belongs to ‘Aquba family. Quds (Jan 23, 2004)  
  • The Jewish colonists started working in "Joseph's Tomb" located in the heart of Nablus in an attempt to rebuild the Jewish synagogue in the area. Quds (Jan 24, 2004)  
  • The IOF broke into the Medical Center of ‘Azzun village, causing severe damages to the properties. Quds (Jan 26, 2004)

Hebron

  • The Israeli bulldozers uprooted tens of Olive trees cultivated in 5 dunums of land in Idhna town west of Hebron city and belongs to ‘Abed El ‘Azem Al Qaysi and Issa Muhammad ‘Ali Al Mahasneh for security reasons. The IOF handed resident Al Qaysi military order weeks ago at favor of uprooting the trees cultivated in his lands. Al Ayam (Jan 2, 2004)  
  • The IOF demolished the house of Fathi Khader Sabarneh in Beit Ummar Twon conducted under the pretext of being unlicensed; the house is located close to Karmei Zur colony south of the town. Al Ayam (Jan 3, 2004) 
  • The Israeli colonists of Qiryat Arba’ took over some lands in Wad El Nasara area and uprooted Grapes and Olive trees in the area. At the same time, colonists of Umm El ‘Arayes east of Yatta town south of Hebron city took over some caves in the area in a plan to take over hundreds of dunums of lands located between the caves and the colony.   • The IOF started constructing 144 new housing units in Kharisena colony northeast of Hebron city and razed some dunums of lands in the northern and eastern parts of the aforementioned colony. Quds (Jan 6, 2004)  
  • The IOF issued an order to take over tens of dunums of agricultural land cultivated with Olive and Almond trees in Al Hijra village south of Hebron city to the southwest of Hagai colony at favor of constructing part of the Segregation Wall around the aforementioned colony. Lands belong to Doden and Al Mashariqa families. Moreover the IOF demolished a number of agricultural rooms in the area owned by Saleh Mahmoud Al Jawabreh and Khader Al Jawabreh.   • The Israeli troops hindered the landowners from Khirbet Zeev south of Hebron city to access their lands under the pretext of not having permits. Among the owners, Muhammad Abu Snaineh who was prohibited to access his 60 dunums of land. Wafa+ Quds (Jan 8, 2004)  
  • The IOF handed ‘Abed Al Wadoud and ‘Abed El Bari Abu Shamsiya from Beit ‘Einun town to the northeast of Hebron city military orders to stop the construction of their houses under the pretext of not having building permits; In addition to another two military orders that were handed resident Nafeth Al Huwwaren from Adh Dhahiriya city to the south of Hebron under the same pretext.   • The Israeli troops demolished the two-storey house of Mahmoud Nawjaah's from Yatta Village, to the south of Hebron city, thus turning it into a heap of rubble after forcing all dwellers to evacuate the house under the threat of weapons. Quds+ Wafa (Jan 12, 2004)  
  • The Israeli bulldozers razed more than 15 dunums of agricultural land cultivated with 300 Olive trees southwest of Kharesina colony to the northeast of Hebron city to construct part of the Segregation Wall in the area. Lands belong to Khalifa Da’na. The IOF also destroyed a grape field cultivated in 5 dunums of land in Al Buara area near the aforementioned colony three days ago. The field belongs to ‘Abed El Rahman Sultan. Wafa+ Al Ayam (Jan 12, 2004)  
  • Colonists of Sinsana colony continued razing lands of ‘Arab El Ramadin village at favor of expanding its borders on the expense of Palestinian lands. 150 dunums of agricultural lands are believed to be razed. Al Ayam (Jan 15, 2004)  
  •  The IOF broke into a kindergarten in the heart of Hebron city causing severe damages to the properties and sealed the building with oxygen. Quds (Jan 16, 2004)  
  • The Israeli planes sprayed with herbicides 1000 dunums of agricultural land cultivated with Wheat and Parley in Khirbet Jinba east of Yatta town, thus destroying all cultivated crops. Lands belong to ‘Ali Muhammad Al Jabarin, Issa Yunis Makhamra, Nu’man Muhammad Al Jabarin, Maher Ahmad Issa Yunis, Nabil Yunis Al Makhamra, Omar Hussein Al Jabarin and Khalid Hussein Al Jabarin.   • Colonists of Kharesina started constructing part of the Segregation Wall north of the colony on a pre-confiscated land. Al Ayam (Jan 19, 2004)  
  • The IOF started constructing a 6 kilometers long Segregation Wall around Qiryat Arba’ colony and a 2 meters depth trench which will separate a number of Palestinian houses from their adjacent olive groves. Quds (Jan 20, 2004)  
  • The IOF dynamited the house of Bakir Muhammad Sh-hada Al Najar in the town of Yatta south of Hebron city causing severe damages to the neighboring houses. Quds (Jan 20, 2004)  
  • The IOF continued razing the Palestinian land around Kharesina colony north of Hebron district and uprooting 100 Olive and Almond trees owned by Da’na family at favor of constructing part of the Segregation Wall in the area. Wafa (Jan 21, 2004)  
  • A number of  Jewish colonists destroyed field crops cultivated in 40 dunums of lands through allowing their sheep to graze in the area. Lands are located east of Yatta town, one kilometer away to of Susiya colony. Khalid Musa Al Najr was known. Wafa (Jan 24, 2004)  
  • The IOF handed a confiscation order number (24/2/T) to Musa Hussein Shawar and ‘Abed El Hamid Shawar. As a result, three pieces of  land ( 30, 34, 129) located 100 meters away from the Ibrahimi Mosque in the old city of Hebron. Wafa (Jan 24, 2004)  
  • The IOF constructed two iron gates on the entrances of Al Fawar camp and Dura town to the south of Hebron city. At the same time, the IOF constructed a military watch tower in Al Fawar junction. Quds (Jan 25, 2004)  
  • The IOF demolished the house of Shafiq Isma’il ‘Laian Awad in Kherbit Ad Deirat east of Yatta town under the pretext of not having building permits. The IOF also demolished the house of Mahmoud Khalil Hamamda southeast of the town to the north of Karmel colony. Another two houses owned by Saber Hussein Al Hareni and Ghaneim Hussein Al Harani were demolished under the same pretext. Wafa  (Jan 28, 2004)  
  • Colonists of Susaiya colony east of Yatta town aggressed on Palestinian lands in Kherbit Qawawis and let their sheep out to graze the land owned by Khalid Hussein Mahmoud, ‘Ali Muhammad Jubrail, Omar Hussein Jubrail, Esam Issa Makhamreh, Na’im Hussein Jubrail, Issa Yunis Makhamreh, Yousef Muhammad Jubrail, Taher and Issa Ahmad Makhamreh. In addition, colonists of Susaiya aggressed on 40 dunums of land last Sunday. Quds (Jan 30, 2004)

Gaza   

  • The IOF staged into the camp of Khan Yunis under heavy barrage of fire and demolished four houses which belong to Muhammad, Bassam, ‘Adnan El Hindi, Rami Noufal and Majed Abu Odeh, causing severe damages to other three houses in the area. Quds (Jan 1, 2004)  

     

  • The Israeli troops constructed an electronic gate on Abu Holy checkpoint south of Deir El Balah. Quds (Jan 1, 2004)  
  • The Israeli bulldozers destroyed more than 50 dunums of land mostly cultivated with Olive trees in Abu El ‘Ajen area east of Deir El Balah city owned by Abu Sha’ir family. On the other hand the IOF razed 15 dunums of land cultivated with Olive and Almond trees in Al Qarara area which belong to Abu Khusa and Al Jalad families. Quds (Jan 4, 2004)  
  • The IOF razed 30 dunums of agricultural land cultivated with Olive and Almond trees east of Al Qarara area north of Khan Yunis city and completely demolished 5 houses owned by Omar, Saleh Abu Daher and caused severe damages to other three houses owned by Nasem, Hamad and Saleh Abu Daher.   • The Israeli bulldozers staged into the southeast of Rafah city and razed several numbers of plastic houses owned by Jaber Abu Shusha. Wafa (Jan 5, 2004)  
  • The IOF demolished the house of Zeiad Sualim Abu Sabet after forcing the family to evacuate the house under the threat of weapons. The house is located east of Al Qarara area to the north of Khan Yunis governorate. At the same time the IOF razed more lands cultivated with Olive and Palm trees in the area which belong to Abu Sabet and Abu El Daher families Wafa+ Quds (Jan 6, 2004)  
  • The IOF staged into the south of Deir El Balah city and continued razing the agricultural lands cultivated with Olive and Citrus owned by ‘Abed El Qader Abu Holy. Wafa (Jan 7, 2004)  
  • The Israeli bulldozers staged into Al Hikr area south of Deir El Balah city under heavy barrage of gunfire and razed 70 dunums of land cultivated with Guava and Orange owned by Abu Holy and Abu Reziq families. Quds (Jan 7, 2004)  
  • The IOF demolished and without a pre-notification the house of Sultan Abu Snayda in Rafah governorate and dynamited the house of ‘Abed El ‘Aziz Abu Shusha after planting it with heavy explosive devices whereby the Israeli bulldozers razed 20 dunums of land cultivated with Olive and Almond trees owned by Abu Shusha family. In addition the IOF dynamited the house of Nasir Al Shawi in Al Ja’farani area southeast of Deir El Balah city. Quds (Jan 7, 2004)   
  • The Israeli troops hedged the house of Awad El Samari from the village of Wadi El Salqa east of Deir El Balah city with barked wires at favor of attaching it under the Israeli control, seven houses in the area are threatened to be taken for the same reason. Al Ayam (Jan 7, 2004)  
  • Four houses were completely demolished, two others were partially destroyed and another three were severely damaged in Al Shuka village to the southeast of Rafah city. In addition the IOF destroyed two Asbestos houses on the Palestinian- Egyptian borders east of Rafah passage which belong to Daef Allah Abu Shusha and Salma Abu Snaydeh. Wafa+ Al Ayam (Jan 8, 2004)  
  • The IOF took over tens of dunums of agricultural land in Al Sheikh Al Naqi area north of Beit Lahiya city to the east of Elei Sinai and Dugit colonies to construct a new military base. Lands belong to Fayiq Khdair, Sufian Abu Khusa and another two farmers from Al Shurfa family. Al Ayam (Jan 8, 2004)  
  • In a report issued by the Palestinian center for human rights assured that during the last week the IOF demolished 28 houses in Rafah, Deir El Balah and Khan Yunis cities and razed more than 150 dunums of agricultural land in Gaza Strip, whereby another 120 dunums of land were confiscated in Deir El Balah city for the Segregation Wall.   • The Israeli bulldozers invaded Al Salam neighborhood south of Rafah city under heavy barrage of gunfire and demolished the house of Samir Naser Allah. Quds (Jan 11, 2004)  
  • In a report issued by Khan Yunis governorate showed that during the last four years more than 3950 houses were demolished, of which 277 were completely demolished and more than 7956 dunums of agricultural land were razed. Al Ayam (Jan 11, 2004)  
  • The IOF invaded Block (O) south of Rafah city and completely demolished five houses whereby another five houses were partially damaged. Wafa (Jan 12, 2004)  
  • The IOF demolished the house of ‘Abed El Men’im Ghnaim in Block (O) camp near the Palestinian- Egyptian borders south of Rafah governorate, forcing all inhabitants to evacuate the house under the threat of weapons. Wafa (Jan 12, 2004)  
  • The Israeli bulldozers invaded ‘Ireba village near Morag colony to the north of Rafah governorate and razed vast areas of agricultural land owned by Salah Al Hashash at favor of expanding the borders of the aforementioned colony and providing security to the colonists. Al Ayam (Jan 13, 2004)  
  • The Israeli bulldozers staged 100m into Block (O) refugee camp on the Palestinian- Egyptian borders south of Rafah city and demolished three houses. Al Ayam (Jan 15, 2004)  
  • The IOF demolished the two-storey house of Mustafa Al ‘Aqad and a wall surrounding the house of Salah ‘Abed El Ghafur in Al Rabawat El Gharbiya area west of Khan Yunis. Wafa (Jan 16, 2004)  
  • The IOF demolished five houses and razed several numbers of dunums east of Deir El Balah city cultivated with Olive, Palm and Citrus. Houses belong to Muhammad Ibrahim Sa’id, Mahmoud Ibrahim Sa’id, Muhammad Suleiman Sa’id, Akram ‘Awad Sa’id and Khalid Mahmoud Sa’id. Al Ayam (Jan 16, 2004)  
  • The Israeli bulldozers demolished three houses and razed crops northwest of Rafah governorate which belongs to Al Garab’a, Qandil and Al Malahi families. Wafa+ Al Ayam (Jan 16, 2004)  
  • The IOF staged 50m into Block (O) in Yibna refugee camp and completely demolished two houses, and partially demolished three. Houses belong to ‘Abed El Karim Qishta, ‘Atta Mahmoud Qishta, Muhammad Hassan Qishta, ‘Abed Allah Mahmoud Qishta and ‘Abed El Salam Qishta. Wafa (Jan 17, 2004)  
  • The Israeli bulldozers staged into Al Barahima area southwest of Rafah, demolished Al Tawhid Mosque, a three- storey house of Sa’id Barhoum and another two-storey houses owned by Ni’ma Abu Jazar. Wafa (Jan 17, 2004)  
  • The IOF staged into Yibna refugee camp on the Palestinian- Egyptian borders to the south of Rafah city and demolished two houses owned by Judeh and Al Mughrabi families and razed vast areas of land at favor of constructing a new military base. Al Ayam (Jan 19, 2004)  
  • Three houses were demolished to the southeast of Rafah city which belong to Hamad, Ahmad and Muhammad Abu Sinidah. Quds (Jan 20, 2004)  
  • The Israeli bulldozers staged into Al Brazil camp, Yibna camp and Al Barahima area east of Salah El Din gate in Rafah governorate under heavy barrage of gunfire and completely demolished more than 30 houses owned by: Hamad Hamdan Qishta, Muhammad Hamdan Qishta, Ibrahim SA’id Qishta, Hamdan Sa’id Qishta, Muhammad Salameh Qishta, Sa’id Salameh Qishta , Farid Hassan Qishta, Hisham Hassan Qishta, Mas’oud Salameh Qishta, Husam Mahmoud Al Sha’ir, Faraj Suleiman Qishta, Hamdan Suleiman Qishta, Muhammad Suleiman Qishta, ‘Ilaian Suleiman Qishta, Muhammad Hamdan Suleiman Qishta, Ibrahim Sa’id Qishta, ‘Abed Allah Qishta, Muhammad Hamdan Qishta, Mazyouna Hassan Qishta, Mahmoud ‘Ali Qishta, Salah Salim Al Sha’ir Shtewi Hamdan Qishta.   • The IOF handed families living near Kfar Darom colony east of Deir El Balah city military orders to evacuate their houses preparing them for demolition. Wafa (Jan 20, 2004).  
  • The IOF handed military orders to landowners of 700 dunums of agricultural land near Kfar Darom colony east of Deir El Balah city to confiscate them at favor of constructing part of the Segregation Wall and a new military bases. Lands belong to Al ‘Azayzeh, Abu Samra, Abu Bashir, Al Flit, Abu Msabeh, Al Ma’ni, Abu Jarer and Abu Baraka families. Quds (Jan 21, 2004)
  • The IOF razed vast areas of arable Palestinian-owned lands in Al-Matahen area, southeast of Gaza Strip which belong to Sha’th and Al Fara families. IPC+ Wafa (Jan 21, 2004)

  • The Israeli bulldozers razed four dunums of agricultural land cultivated with Vegetables north of Beit Lahiya town and  belong to Salman family. Al Ayam (Jan 22, 2004)  
  • The Israeli bulldozers razed 30 dunums of land cultivated with Olive trees in Al Baraka area to the southwest of Deir El Balah city which belong to Suleiman Abu Shamas. In addition the IOF constructed earthed block to the east of Al Baraka area.  Wafa (Jan 25, 2004)  
  • The Israeli bulldozers staged into the southeast of Khaza’a area and destroyed a number of plastic houses constructed on two dunums of lands belonging to Mukhtar Abu Odeh. Wafa (Jan 25, 2004)

  • The IOF demolished the house of Ahmad Sa’id and the Wall which surrounds the house of Ahmad Al Luh east of Kfar Darom colony in Deir El Balah city. At the same time, the Israeli bulldozers razed one dunum of agricultural land cultivated with Olive trees in the area and other three dunums of lands located north of the aforementioned colony which belong to Abu Salim family.   • The Israeli bulldozers staged into Zu’rub neighborhood on the Palestinian- Egyptian borders to the southwest of Rafah governorate under heavy barrage of gunfire and razed vast areas of agricultural land cultivated with Olive trees which belong to Ahmad Zu’rub. Al Ayam (Jan 28, 2004)  
  • The IOF demolished the house of Musalam Abu Wahdan in the village of Wad El Salqa in Gaza governorate and razed vast areas of lands owned by the family without a pre-notification. Al Ayam (Jan 28, 2004)  
  • The IOF razed agricultural lands cultivated with Olive and fruitful trees in Gaza city. Wafa (Jan 28, 2004)  
  • The IOF demolished the two-storey house of Muhammad Abu Hadaf in Al Qarara area to the north of Khan Yunis city without allowing dwellers salvage their personal belongings.   • The IOF shelled on the house of Mahmoud Abu Samra east of Deir El Balah city and caused severe damages to the house and properties. Quds (Jan 29, 2004)  

Ramallah

  • Expansion activities are taking place in the indiscriminate Ginnot Arieh outpost near Ofra colony at favor of adding new caravans and housing units, after the announcement that Israel intends to dismantle it along with other three outpost’s some days ago.   • The IOF handed residents of Beituniya town west of Ramallah district military orders to confiscate several dunums of land and uproot hundreds of trees for the Segregation Wall. The IOF also hindered landowners from accessing their lands segregated inside the Wall. Quds (Jan 8, 2004)  
  • The IOF dynamited an apartment in “Grand Fair” building in Beituniya city after planting it with heavy explosive devices; the building belongs to Al ‘Abed Badir Ad Dahla. Al Ayam (Jan 8, 2004)  
  • One thousand dunums (45%) of lands from Budrus vilage to the west of Ramallah district are threatened to be confiscated due to the Segregation Wall that is being built in the area. As a result, eight villages surrounding around Ramallah district will be isolated from the other nearby Palestinian villages and cities. Al Ayam (Jan 9, 2004)  
  • The IOF handed the village council of Beit ‘Ur El Fuqa in Ramallah districts maps of the Segregation Wall path, which is going to be constructed on lands of the village. As a result, Beit ‘Ur El Fuqa and At Tira elementary school will be segregated between the Wall and Beit Horon colony. Wafa (Jan 14, 2004).   • Jewish colonists and under the protection of the IOF added a number of caravans in Al Dahrat area in Turmus’aya and Al Mughayyir villages. Quds (Jan 17, 2004)  
  • The IOF demolished the house of Ziyad Al Sous in the village of Abu Shkhadim to the northwest of Ramallah district and another two houses in Kobar village which belong to Jaser El Barghouthi and Murad Al Barghouthi. Another two houses in Silwad town to the north of the district and owned by Ahmad Daoud and Ahmad Mustafa were severely damaged  Quds (Jan 31, 2004)

Tubas

  • The Israeli bulldozers razed vast areas of agricultural lands in the northern slopes to dig trenches in the area under the pretext of providing security for the nearby military bases. In addition, the IOF razed lands north of ‘Ein El Beida in the northern valleys at favor to erect some roads and trenches for the Segregation Wall to be build in the area. Quds (Jan 11, 2004).   • The IOF constructed six temporary checkpoints on Al Malaqa Bridge, Samet Tubas and Al Bathana main streets of Tubas city. Wafa (Jan 13, 2004)

Salfit:   

  • The Israeli authorities handed military orders to four families west of Salfit town to evacuate their houses at favor of constructing the Segregation Wall in the area. Houses belong to ‘Ali, Amir, Nawaf and ‘Akef Al ‘Azazmeh. Quds (Jan 18, 2004). For more information, click here

Others  

  • Israeli announced the construction of a new colonial project in the Golan Heights. Nine new colonies in the area are being built in addition to 750 housing units to be added to 17 colonies in the same area and a new tourist center ”Barak Israel”. Quds (Jan 1, 2004)  
  • The Israeli Supreme court postponed the order of dismantling Ginnot Arieh, Hizon David, Havat Shakid and Beit ‘Ein outposts issued by the Israeli chief Moshe Keblinski. Quds (Jan 6, 2004). For more information, click here.  
  • Israel is planning to expand its colonial activities in the Jordan valleys and north of the Dead Sea by building 50 new Housing units during the year 2004 and 2005. Quds (Jan 7, 2004)  
  • The Israeli security committee announced the names of the 28 outposts Israel is willing to dismantle next month.

  • The Ministry of construction took over some lands in ‘Asheret Al ‘Aqbi in the Nagav near Rahat city and put some caravans at favour of constructing a new colony composed of 600 housing units. Quds (Jan 20, 2004)  
  • The IOF demolished two houses owned by ‘Abed El ‘Aziz and ‘Abed Allah Abu ‘Asa in the village of Umm Bateen in the Negev along with another house in Al Qarin village which belongs to Muhammad ‘Abed El ‘Aziz Al Sayed conducted under the pretext of not being licensed, whereby a commercial store in Shaqib Al Salam village was demolished under the same pretext.   • The house of Muhammad Al Sayed in Huwra village north of the Negev was demolished for the second time during the last five months under the pretext of being unlicensed, causing the displacement of 6 dwellers. Wafa (Jan 20, 2004)

  • In a report issued by the High committee of information showed that the IOF completely demolished 170 houses and razed 165 dunums in the Palestinian territories during the last month. Quds (Jan 23, 2004)
